Hoka changed arch
Love my old challengers, this new model has raise in arch closer to the heal - makes it very uncomfortable- hoka- please fix this issue!
Capable Hybrid
I already wear the Rincon, Clifton, and Bondi, so hoped the Challenger would be perfect for running the various terrains of Costa Rica. They were! Grip and cushioning was great on trail, gravel, dirt road, rock, all kinds of sand, and even paved roads. My only disappointment is that the upper isn't as flexible and comfortable as other Hoka shoes. I'm not usually a trail runner, so I don't know if it's typical for trail shoes to sacrifice comfort for durability, but that's what happened here. I'll happily continue using these for trail and mixed terrain routes under 10 miles.
Hoka One One shoes review
I have worn these shoes on walks, runs, and hiking trails. I get the extra wide version of the shoe because my foot is wider than most regular width shoes. They are comfortable shoes to wear throughout the day for long periods. My feet feel extra comfortable in these shoes.
I'm a Convert
I've run in multiple manufacturers' shoes. I'm a big guy and always thought Hokas would be mushy under my weight. I was wrong. They are light, responsive, and comfortable. Best shoe I've ever run in.
