The long-running Wave Inspire 16 uses Mizuno’s Wave Plate technology to give the shoe extra support for overpronators. Combined with firm U4ic foam, the Inspire 16 delivers a well-cushioned ride that disperses impact and rolls smoothly from heel to toe.
The new version has a more modern style thanks to a cleaner upper, but the premium materials provide durability for the long haul. In the Mizuno Wave Inspire 16 review, Fleet Feet runners say the Wave technology and responsive foam create a very stable ride.
This year, Mizuno also added a version with a knit upper, the women's Mizuno Wave Inspire 16 Waveknit.
With a cleaned up look and another upper option, the women's Mizuno Wave Inspire 16 remains a stable and capable workhorse.
